About Us
Mission
The International Transportation Learning Center, based in Silver Spring, MD, is a unique national nonprofit organization focused on the frontline workforce in public transportation. As the sole organization funded by the Federal Transit Administration, the US Department of Labor, and the Transit Cooperative Research Program, we strive to develop and support technical training partnerships for today's and tomorrow's workforce.
Our mission is to enhance public transportation both nationally and within communities by building labor-management training partnerships. We aim to improve organizational performance, expand workforce skills, and promote career advancement. Since 2001, we've facilitated initiatives like national training standards, career ladder programs, and pathways into good jobs.
